The popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo launched the latest Vivo S18 series in its home country and the smartphone series includes the Vivo S18, S18 Pro, and S18e. The devices are running on the latest Android 14 operating system out of the box along with impressive camera and battery capacity. Here are the full details of the devices.
Specifications of Vivo S18 series
Both the vanilla variant and the Pro variant feature a feather-like pattern on the back panel and the devices feature a 6.78-inch curved OLED display along with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the devices also feature 2800 nits of peak brightness. They also come with a punch hole cutout at the centre position of the screen. While the Vivo S18e smartphone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 2400×1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features a peak brightness of 1800 nits and a punch-hole on the top of the screen.
Under the hood, the Vivo S18 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 mobile processor and the Vivo S18 Pro comes with the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ mobile processor. Both devices come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The Pro variant features LPDDR5X RAM and the vanilla version comes with LPDDR4X memory. The Vivo S18e has the power of a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor along with 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. The devices run on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 custom skin out of the box. Having said that, the vanilla variant and the Pro variant also feature up to 16GB of virtual RAM expansion as well as 50GB of storage compression. Both devices come with a large 5,000mAh battery along with 80W fast charging. While the Vivo S18e houses a 4800mAh battery along with an 80W flash charging. The devices also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner along with various audio codecs support, facial recognition, and more.
Coming to the photography section, the latest Vivo S18 Pro smartphone features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary sensor along with a 50-megapixel Samsung JNI ultra wide angle lens, and the device also features a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto shooter that offers 2x optical zoom. The vanilla variant comes with a 50-megapixel main camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle shooter. Meanwhile, the front has a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The Vivo S18e features a 16MP front facing camera while the back of the device has an OIS-enabled 50MP main lens and a 2MP blur lens.
Pricing and availability
The pricing of the Vivo S18 starts at 2,299 Yuan while the Vivo S18 Pro has a starting price of 3,199 Yuan and the Vivo S18e has a starting price of 2,099 yuan. The devices are available in China and the Vivo S18 will be available from December 22. The Vivo S18 Pro and the Vivo S18e will be available from 13th January 2024.
