The popular flagship smartphone maker has officially introduced the latest and greatest OnePlus 12 in the market of India and the device was originally announced in China last month. The new phone comes with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor and it also features a 50W wireless charging solution, the first device to feature the wireless charging solution in the portfolio of the brand. Specifications of OnePlus 12
The latest OnePlus 12 comes with the design language of the predecessor which is the OnePlus 11. But the company has made some small changes including a glass sandwich construction with a metal frame in the middle and the latest phone comes with an IP65 rating for splash resistance.
It features a 6.82-inch curved LTPO AMOLED display along with a punch-hole cutout at the centre position of the screen and the device comes with 3168 x 1440 pixels resolution. It features 510 PPI and a 1-120Hz refresh rate (LTPO). The 10-bit screen supports up to 4500 nits of local peak brightness level and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The latest phone also comes with Pixelworks X7 independent display processor.
The phone has the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with up to 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It also comes with a 9140mm² VC (Vapor Chamber) cooling system and the the device features an area of 38,547mm².
Talking about the photography department, the latest OnePlus 12 flagship smartphone features a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS along with a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with an OIS 3x periscope zoom lens and a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide sensor with autofocus. It also features a 32MP front facing camera. The device also comes with Hasselblad-inspired image processing.
Speaking about the connectivity, the device features dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, NFC, and USB 3.2 Gen1. It also comes with the signature alert slider button, an IR blaster, an x-axis linear vibration motor, and dual stereo speakers. The device also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner as well. It runs on the Android 14 operating system out of the box along with a large 5,400mAh battery along with 100W wired as well as 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless.
Pricing and availability
The newly announced OnePlus 12 is available at Rs 64,999 for the base 8GB + 256GB variant while the 16GB + 512GB storage option costs Rs 69,999. It will be available from January 30 through the official website along with Amazon and selected retail stores.
