For the readers, Google usually goes through the Developer phase and then Beta phases like Dev 1, Dev2, Beta 1, and Beta 2, where users can voluntarily update their phones, and if in cases any bugs, the users can report, and with the reviews, Google tries to fix them all with the next update.

Following the Dev update, we saw the Android 16 Beta 1 update officially released on 23 January 2025, the Beta 2 update on 13 February 2025, the third update released on 13 March 2025, and the last and final phase Beta 4 update released on 17 April 2025.
After two dev previews and four beta phases explicitly released for Google Pixel phones, the California-based giant officially announced the release of the Android 16 final update on 3 June 2025.

Google’s blog post has already been published, revealing the list of smartphone makers eligible for the update. The list includes their in-house-built Google Pixel devices, followed by the Chinese smartphone maker Honor.
