Nothing Phone 2 Unveiled With 50MP Camera & More

The London based tech company Nothing has launched the highly anticipated smartphone called the Nothing Phone 2 and it is the second generation phone of the company. The device is official globally and the device is having the power of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset at its heart. The company is offering the device with a dual camera set up on the back with a 50 megapixel primary sensor. The device features a redesigned Glyph Interface and the smartphone is made with 100 percent recycled aluminium as well. Here are the complete details of the new smartphone.

Specifications of Nothing Phone 2

The newly announced Nothing Phone 2 sports a slightly rear panel and the device features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is also coming with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 1600 nits of peak pixel brightness. The device features HDR10+ along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top as well as a punch-hole cut out on the top of the screen.

Under the hood, the latest Nothing Phone 2 smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile processor along with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage.

Talking about the camera department, the Nothing Phone 2 features a dual rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and EIS and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor. It is also having a 32MP front camera. The smartphone is having camera features like Motion Capture 2.0, 2X Super-Res Zoom, 4K videos at 60fps, and Action Mode.

The Nothing Phone 2 smartphone is backed by a 4,700mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging technology along with 15W wireless charging capability as well. It is running on the Android 13 operating system with Nothing OS 2.0 out-of-the-box. It is also confirmed that the smartphone will be receiving 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.

Speaking about the connectivity options, the smartphone features 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C among others. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security and the device features an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Nothing Phone 2 with 8GB + 128GB storage option is coming with a price tag of Rs 44,999 while the 12GB + 256GB is having a price tag of Rs 49,999 and the 12GB + 512GB is coming with a price tag of Rs 54,999. The Nothing Phone 2 pre-order buyers can purchase the new smartphone now and until July 20th. The open sale of the device will be starting on July 21.
