Redmi 12 Launched In India With 50MP Camera

The popular Chinese smartphone brand Redmi has officially introduced the latest Redmi 12 smartphone in the market of India. The company has made the device available in both 4G and 5G connectivity options. The smartphone is coming with an identical design and the devices are sharing their specifications in multiple departments as well. The processor is the area where we can find a difference. The 5G model of the device is coming with the power of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 mobile processor. The device is also coming with a 50 megapixel primary sensor on the back. Specifications of Redmi 12 series

Redmi 12 is available in both 4G and 5G options in the country and the device is coming with a 6.79-inch display with 2460 x 1080 pixels resolution along with up to a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of 550 nits.

The 4G variant of the new Redmi 12 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 mobile processor along with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of eMMC storage. While the 5G model is coming with the power of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip along with up to 256 GB UFS 2.2 internal storage and the company is offering the device with up to 8GB of RAM as well. The 5G and 4G models of the smartphone feature LPDDR4x RAM on the board.

Talking about the photography section, the smartphone features a 50MP primary camera along with a 2MP macro sensor on the back. It is also offering an 8MP front facing camera. The 4G model is also featuring an additional 8MP ultra-wide sensor on the back. Redmi 12 is also offering a side-mounted fingerprint along with the traditional security options scanner.

In terms of connectivity, the device supports dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR blaster among others. Redmi 12 is housing a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging solution and the smartphone is running on Android 13 with MIUI 14 out of the box.

The latest Redmi 12 4G model with 4GB + 128GB is having a price tag of ₹9,999 and the 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at ₹11,499. While the 5G version of the device is coming with 4GB + 128GB that is having a price tag of ₹11,999 while the 6GB + 128GB is available with a price tag of ₹13,499 and 8GB + 256GB storage option is having a price tag of ₹15,499.

Speaking about the availability, the Redmi 12 will be available for purchase from August 4 through the official website of the company along with Amazon and retail stores in the country.
