Huawei has silently launched its latest generation folding smartphone dubbed the Huawei Mate X5 and it is official in the market of China with a triple rear camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary sensor along with high refresh rate screens. Here are the full details of the device.

Specifications of Huawei Mate X5

The outer display of the latest Huawei Mate X5 features a 6.4-inch OLED LTPO external display along with 2504 x 1080 pixels resolution, a 20.9:9 aspect ratio, up to a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and Kunlun glass protection. While the inner display offers a 7.85-inch foldable OLED LTPO display along with 2496 x 2224 pixels resolution, an 8:7.1 aspect ratio, and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. Both screens come with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, P3 color gamut, and 1440Hz high-frequency dimming.

The device is powered by the Kirin 9000s mobile processor along with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Speaking about the camera department, the newly announced Huawei Mate X5 comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera while the back panel of the device features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS support. It comes with a side mounted fingerprint scanner and the device runs on Harmony OS 4.0 out of the box.

The latest Huawei Mate X5 is backed by a 5,060mAh battery along with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It features dual SIM, an NM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, a USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1), and two-way satellite connectivity for connectivity options. The device features IPX8-rated water resistance as well.
